I downloaded a MP3 message earlier this morning called Hosting The Presence by my spiritual father Bill Johnson.

Upon dowloading it, I thought about the word: HOSTING.

What it looked like to :host someone.

Further, I thought about what the :word 'looked-like' in sign.

I saw the sign: hospitality. 

These are the different pictures that drew me when I looked up hospitality in picture form:

Preparation of the room, the table, the atmosphere

preparation of the place of stay; accomodations

Making a 'place' for them to rest

What did these pictures say to you?

I saw how we are given the opportunity to create a place of 'rest' where GOD can come and stay.

Preparing the 'place', the serving of HIM, (worship) and seeing to it that His stay is comfortable.

Providing a 'place' for Holy Spirit to come, alight and stay.

COME,ALIGHT AND STAY....

Today, I want you to think about what you would do if the most famous person alive came to your house to stay.

What kind of preparations would you make?

How about the food? 

The place they would rest their head?

What kind of atmosphere would you create?

What would it look like?

Who else would you invite?

think about all the work that was put into creating this picture and what the guests felt like who came to the meal served here?

Meticulous care in providing service to the guests.

Likewise, when we come to worship God, we are providing a place for Him to come.

A place for Him to rest .

and a place for Him to be served.

How?...

 by worshiping HIM, 

by loving on HIM,

by adoring HIM.

We HOST Him by creating a place for Him to come.

We become the place HE stays.

We are the place He comes to REST.

There is alot more to this subject, but I wanted to give you an understanding by visuals tonight of what it means to Host GOD. and why its important to PREPARE  a place for Him to dwell.
