Today, I had a totally different thought in mind. My own thoughts were on how to navigate forward by not going forward. Yet....
I FULLY INTENDED to take that scripture: where Jesus was questioning the leaders of his day. Then right afterwards: it says, he remained subject to them, but just sitting back down. Thinking: that is what God is saying. In the natural.
Yet, that HAS TO BE THE HEART STANCE OF ANY CHILD WALKING FORWARD IN GODS TIMING. Willingness to submit to the ones God placed over us . Entrusted us to. Knowing they truly know best.
In this process, my heart heard Mary talking to the servants: WHATEVER HE SAYS: DO.
It was faith talking. She had known that her son was the one.
She KNEW He would bring deliverance to His people. She carried within her who He was...but now she needed to carry further: ALL THAT HE WOULD BECOME.
Daddy said that I need to trust that Jesus knows the best timing, but a little faith from momma doesn't hurt. It was the CATALYST that brought about the first miracle.
Mary, willing to wait...
but, totally believing that it was a now moment. As if God were moving her forward, although she felt like that might not be her place as a woman. She knew she was only a mother for Him in the natural, but in the spirit, He took presidence and could overturn anything she willed if it were out of place.
She was willing to look silly. Be wrong. and even be embarrased.
She stepped up to the plate. She heard: they have no wine.A need. She knew just the right person to bring that about. The one she carried in her spiritual womb for all those years of who He is and what He would become.
She didn't even say much. She spoke a simple NEED. They have no wine.
His response should have shut her down. But that moment was a moment to birth another aspect of WHO HE WOULD BECOME. So, she doesn't rebut Him. Instead, she said to those attending: whatever He said, DO.
Sometimes we wait.
smiles
Her faith didn't waver of who He was. She knew and believed . Was willing to suffer humiliation by her entire tribe for what she hoped for. For it was anchored in the unseen. Her love for GOD and His ways superseded anything she was experiencing at the moment; or any seeming delay.
God didn't wait to use Mary till she was mature. He chose her...
then trained her on the way HOW to mother God's Son.
that is a pretty powerful trust He had in Mary. Don't you think?
Can we just hear or even imagine what life must have been like ?
Jesus, although God's very own Son; the chosen one: learned obedience through the things He experienced.Knowing that should help us with the ones God calls us to lead.
There is only one you. No one can do what your called to do the way you can.
There are people God can team up with us; with different facets that can help do the work of ministry, if we will trust God's calling on them over anything our own hearts can conceive. He doesn't want us to do this alone.
Not isolated from the whole, but in the midst of a family.
I am glad Jesus asked for the 6 water pots to be filled with water.
His words brought something forth that didn't exist before. for IN THOSE POTS, the very pots used to wash mens hands before heading into the wedding celebration, were filled with one thing and became something quite different and USEFUL for bringing forth JOY in the hearts of those in the wedding feast.
Twice, last week God called me to make a video on JOY releases.
But my week was too busy to do it. I HEARD THE CALL.From a mom...
then a son. I FULLY INTENDED on sending it.
Today, here is my offering.
May it bring JOY into the hearts of all who receive of its promise.
From my heart to yours,
In His presence,

…51"Have you understood all these things?" They said to Him, "Yes." 52And Jesus said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old."
The transformation of water into wine at the Marriage at Cana or Wedding at Cana is the first miracle attributed to Jesus in the Gospel of John. In the Gospel account, Jesus, his mother and his disciples are invited to a wedding, and when the wine runs out, Jesus delivers a sign of his glory by turning water into wine.
