Here is an interesting story that papa Kris reminded me of last night.
In overlooking my notes, the Lord began to open what He had shown me and I wanted to share it with you.

Im calling this: FROM INACTIVITY TO WHOLENESS

Let's read the account as it is found in the word and let it describe to you the scenario at hand.
NOTICE the scene.
The smells.
The lack of activity.
The people around the pool: WAITING  for their chance to go forth healed.

John 5:1-5

New Century Version (NCV)

Jesus Heals a Man at a Pool

5 Later Jesus went to Jerusalem for a special feast. 2 In Jerusalem there is a pool with five covered porches, which is called Bethesda[a] in the Hebrew language.[b] This pool is near the Sheep Gate. 3 Many sick people were lying on the porches beside the pool. Some were blind, some were crippled, and some were paralyzed [, and they waited for the water to move.4 Sometimes an angel of the Lord came down to the pool and stirred up the water. After the angel did this, the first person to go into the pool was healed from any sickness he had].[c]5 A man was lying there who had been sick for thirty-eight years.





The first thing we notice in scripture here is the NAME  of the pool.



Bethesda.  So if it's mentioned, there has to be a reason, right?

The name is of  Hebrew origin.

It means: HOUSE OF MERCY.



and it's LOCATION is near the sheep gate. listed also in the story of Nehemiah where the GATES ARE REBUILT.

remember?

It has great signifigance as we are REBUILDING  the Old Waste Places.

This is the gate through which the sheep were brought into the city to
be sacrificed at the altar. This signifies the Lamb of God, whose blood was shed on the cross for the sin
of all mankind. The cross is always the starting place for personal strength. We cannot save ourselves.
God provided the way of salvation through the cross. Only the Lamb of God, slain for us, can save us.
The cross, the sheep gate, is the starting place, the source of our strength for the task of rebuilding. (

The Significance of the Gates)

then I noticed HOW LONG  one man lay there:
38 years.
That is a longggggg time!
But I saw a PICTURE HERE FOR US TO APPLY.
There is MORE  than just a story of people getting healed by this pool.

In asking: why 38 years? I found an answer that you might enjoy:

I heard in my spirit: this sickness is not unto death, but unto the glory of God.
Let's go back to the story.
38 yrs
no movement
WAITING
by a pool
HOPING AN ANGEL WOULD STIR THE WATERS
nothing happening
FINALLY! JESUS ARRIVES ON THE SCENE:
What does He see?
3 types of people are mentioned:
  • blind
  • crippled
  • paralyzed
One in particular had been there for 38 years!
An UNTO THE GLORY OF GOD MOMENT FOR SURE!!!!
Let's follow and see what He SEES, shall we?
Taking this story to a spiritual level, now....begin to LOOK WITH A NEW SET OF EYES
What GIFT  to the body does God give us to SEE?
The prophetic gift, right?
He is showing us a deeper story than is first evident by what is read.
There are people who are suppose to see and cant.
There are those who are called to do great things for God and are crippled(cant walk right).
and those that allow ''fear'' to paralyze them from moving forward.
365 times the bible uses the 'term' fear not, or do not fear.
ONE FOR EACH DAY OF THE YEAR.
It is one thing to know what He wants. Quite another to go forth and actually do it.
Allowing circumstances or opinions to cripple us is not a way to live.
Allowing situations and experiences in life that are not good to cause us not to SEE  the wonderful good things God is doing is no way to experience life.
Allowing fear to paralyze us from moving forward because we might be not accepted if we are a different 'instrument' is no way to experience life.
We have work to do beloveds.
It isnt time to sit by the pool WAITING  for the angel of the Lord who comes 'sometimes'(as scripture states) to stir the pool.
NO!
Its time to RISE UP.
TAKE UP OUR MAT
AND WALK.
(John5:6-9)

6 When Jesus saw the man and knew that he had been sick for such a long time, Jesus asked him, “Do you want to be well?”
7 The sick man answered, “Sir, there is no one to help me get into the pool when the water starts moving. While I am coming to the water, someone else always gets in before me.”
8 Then Jesus said, “Stand up. Pick up your mat and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was well; he picked up his mat and began to walk.

His command?
STAND UP.
PICK UP.
WALK.
SO What are we waiting for?
Jesus is here.
He has set you free.
Everything He did was enough.
GET UP AND GET GOING.
He is holding out His hand for you to come.
It will be worth it.
Im coming.

Father God, I just wanted to honor papa Kris for sharing John chapter 5 last night.

 I know he didnt talk on all of this.

But his subject stirred me.

and I honor his heart for your kids!

Helps us to learn from him as we grow into mature sons and daughters of the King.

One of the things I love about confirmation is: in listening to James Goll and Patricia King do an interview early today on Youtube, I saw this exact scenerio.

 

The BODY OF CHRIST is to have all parts that work efficiently.

SEERS  are the EYES  of the church.

 

All seers are prophets, but not all prophets are seers.

Having a seer anointing is quite different from being a seer, just as having a prophetic anointing is quite different from being a prophet.

 

What I understand about this scenerio...what it SEEMS  to be saying is:

 

restoration of the body is underhand, and we need to be activated and restored to the original intention He had over us when He designed us.

 

Just as in the natural body, all parts WORK EFFICIENTLY.

 

It is the same with the SPIRITUAL BODY.

 

That is the FOCUS  of this lesson.

For all to have what we are made to have.

 

When Jesus showed what was lacking in the natural, it's a clear picture of what is going on in the spiritual.

 

I love that He takes the time to show us what we need. What is missing and what the ORIGINAL MODEL IS TO LOOK LIKE.

 

I hope this is as interesting to you as it is to me.

DREAM:

 last night I had a dream.

i dont normally dream.

So I knew this was signifigant.

 I saw a pool of water. I saw someone ( I thought) come stand next to me.

 I thought: wow, those are some ''strong legs''.

 

STRONG LEGS stood out to me.

 But there was more.

 

They were not ''attached'' to anything. There were no other parts CONNECTED and thus...even though the STRENGTH OF THE LEGS  was in tact, the body could not function because it didnt have legs to stand on.

The legs didnt belong as it should have.

 

I knew what God was showing me.

 

We are only as strong as we are willing to belong to one another.

 Jesus never sent His disciples out one by one.

In fact, where we are strong, often he will send us out with someone totally opposite in strength. So that where we balance one another.

 

2 by 2.

 

There is more regarding prophetic meaning of the legs too.

But this is what stood out for me in this dream.

I just joined Global Evangelism and part of the Welcoming info said something soooo powerful that I had to share this one thought with you.

 

They said : their GOAL is to RESTORE  the evangelist to the 5-fold ministry.

evangelists are not suppose to be lone rangers with no part to play in the body leading the local church.

 

I LOVED that!!! and... it reminded me of my DREAM!

 

THE STRENGTH OF THE LEGS!!!
