Its nearly time again for Christmas.

The Christmas story is way more than a tale to be told or a story to hear

Mary was pregnant with promise
To bring a long awaited redeemer to a people group so that they could be saved.

The FIRSTFRUITS of many brethren, Jesus mankinds ONLY REDEEMER stepped forth onto the scene.

A baby?
How can something so small do all of mankind any lasting good? 

Then He grew
That little seed of promise within Mary did grow.

Then was born.
Then angelic hosts and shepherds came to see the one whom heaven ANNOUNCED.
Only those listening closely could hear this sound .
It wasnt public nor loud.
It was as if you saw what heaven was gazing at and you turned to look too.

He was on the 8 th day PRESENTED .
Sacrifices brought.
Then named.
1 man
1 woman 
:had been praying.
Looking.
Simeon and Anna 
Only those who were looking would notice this baby was different than the other babies.
Outwardly, there was no significance.
A humble king emerges.

Then He grew.

He had many generations of prophetic proclamations He would fulfill.
Some in ways they would never see till He departed.
But Still He came.
He took the old to bring in the new
Starting with Johns baptism.
Used for repentance like a stain washed garment, men would come to the river to be washed. Prepared.
Ready.

Then Jesus came.
John saw His pure white seamless stainless garment and then his own.
How can you come to me?
I need to be washed by you John makes known.
Repentance.

But Jesus allows this submission moment. To do things as were planned.
Jesus used this vessel of baptism to usher in the ministry of His Father.

Again...
It didnt look anything like they expected.
Only those whose hearts were hungry were ripe enough to notice.

An old way
An old synagogue
Timing
Jesus presents Himself to speak.

Taking the scroll and reading from Isaiah He presents Himself as Gods spokesman this day.

Only those who had been looking would notice the honor He chose in presenting His Fathers plan.

He did: just so.

Synagogue 
Form
Presentation
Honor at its highest for all He was about to bring.

But only those with eager hearts would follow.

Taking the message to His own town.
Then surrounding towns
Teaching those who would come so they would teach.
Until all could hear the good news of the Fathers love.

Only a son could present this message from the Fathers heart.

Only THE SON of God could exchange His perfect life for ours.

Jesus.

But even His own did not BELIEVE.

or turned away
Or doubted

Faith is the thing Jesus looks for in earth upon His return.

Faith
Faith in what?
In everything He did
In who He is.

In what He accomplished.

So much love 
And so much honor

Honoring first to empty Himself
To become a baby
To be born as of woman
To be helpless
Dependent
In need

No wonder the angelic hosts sang on the day of His birth.

So this is my Jesus.
This is my King
Do you Know Him?

He did this for you
To bring you HOME to the Fathers heart and to show you your true value and worth in the eyes of heaven . 

All creation is waiting and groaning
For US TO GET IT.

And step into the gift of SONSHIP WE have been so lovingly given
Arise and shine for your LIGHT has come.

Will the sons of God please stand up?
