You know, ever since I started thinking about missions, I have been picturing 'types of people'. Some are like trees: growing tall and straight in one area.

Some others are like potted plants that can go everywhere and still flourish, and still others remind me of tumbleweeds.

This is what I saw:

and this:

I was watching a show called The Monarch of the Glen featured in Scotland.

One person was like a tumbleweed, blows into town, stays awhile and then blows away again whenever the wind changes.

Then there was another who was so much a part of that land that leaving was painful. Like roots being ripped from the soil.

I was in awe of what I was seeing because it reminds me so much of pioneers,{trailblazers} and settlers.

Trailblazer:

trail·blaz·er

a person who makes a new track through wild country

a pioneer

an innovator

Synonyms: pioneer

pathfinder

--------------------------------------------------

Settler:

A person who settles in an area, typically one with no or few inhabitants

Synonyms: colonist

colonizer

But, what I found fascinating is: BOTH ARE NEEDED.

there are those who come into an area to establish. then go.

and then others must stay in the land where ground is gained in order to establish community and connection.

It reminded me sooo much the the APOSTLE PAUL!!!

I love to learn. To grow from what I observe . From what I see.

and I want to GO!!!

But, I want to come HOME, too.

I love Redding. This is my home, probably the first time in my life where I feel as if I have a place in the soil to become a part of it.

I long to do missions. and to bring back the fruitful reports from the beautiful areas we are cultivating and bringing the kingdom of heaven into.

I keep hearing again that famous scripture that seems to encourage me quite often lately regarding the work that is to be done:

1 Corinthians 3:6

New International Version (NIV)

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

Its such an honor to be a part of something wayyyy bigger that we can even IMAGINE.

Have a great day in His presence!

I have been summoned by the King of heaven to go 'home'.

There is hope for my nation and they are destined for greatness!

Its time to arise.
For you are needed in the process.

Others will come into their destiny because of your yes.

Humbling to be a part of this time in HIS-STORY.
In awe of His meticulous expensive preparation process.

He wastes nothing.
He gets you ready as one of my companions says.

Exited!
Im coming Home.
