Dreams verses wishes.

This morning this was the topic on my heart.

There are many things recently that have been 'wishes'... but then there are others that are dreams with a life of their own.

I decided to ponder this subject a little more.

I have had a dream inside of me for more than a decade. That is something God put in there that I didnt even ask for.

That one, cannot be shaken. Believe me, everything has tried.

It doesnt budge. It holds because its anchor is HIM. He authored it. He sired it.

He will see it to completion.

Hebrews 12:2King James Version (KJV)

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

That dream matters to my heart. But I didnt even know it existed until He put it there.

For His children, those awaiting physical ears to hear...to become everything He says of them.

As a mother, I see their potential. Some haven't even been told they can and should dream. Most of them do not even think they can succeed in business, because most were born into a system in which they weren't able work but need instead to receive a check every month, because  society required most of them to have the ability to hear.

One thing I have learned is, if you have something you cannot do, other parts of you get stronger.

Their ability to create detail and notice detail in design, in art,

in building and even food preparation and table setting and organizing are extremely meticulous.

I have seen them in recent years learn HOW to become business men and women and open restaurants, they can tour in many areas now thanks to an iPhone app that made certain locations accessible to them and others in their own language.

Those are not simple dreams....

But they ARE ATTAINABLE. and....SUSTAINABLE.

I decided it was time this season to build the revivalists.

(pic from google below) for agreement

When they become sustained, they sustain revival.

There was more to  the puzzle.

Now, I wanted to talk about wishes.

Wishes aren't heart deep.

They haven't feet to plant themselves.

In fact, in researching this, I found out that some do not have roots.

In regular plants not only do they go down deep because that is where the food source and water come from, but its also a way to ANCHOR to the ground.

(heres an interesting resource for this subject on do all plants have roots?)

Those without feet, remind me of wishes. Not that they cannot survive.

In fact in researching that idea, I found out that algea, mosses and other types of green matter without roots use light systems in order to survive.

Because there is no root..... they can just blow away. That picture reminded me of wishes. Wishes were like dreams that didn't have a place to land.

Some wishes are not like dreams in that there is not true HOPE attached to them.

No anchor.

To me though...its like it takes alot of work to keep it alive. Wishes seem to be something we have to work at too much.Requiring constant nourishment in order to survive. Not at all sustainable. If there wasn't constant care, it wouldn't survive.

That reminded me of how alot of missions were done in times past. Where churches had to send funds monthly in order to sustain the revival it was creating.

But what if the type of revival we are doing isn't able to be sustained by others?..but instead, this season, God was teaching us how to use our resources to sustain our own revival?

Look at something Iris is doing....

Rows of crops growing on Iris Farms in Mozambique

Planting and finding out what grew in their soil was one way they are sustaining revivalists of revival.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE

Some desires we think are wishes can be little dreams God breathes upon and brings life to it which grows into something sustainable.

His I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH WAS MORE THAN WORDS,  but it's beginning was in the heart of God. Because of that dream which He released that day, people are experiencing the freedom and sustainability of that dream.

This is how I am learning the difference of what is from God that I wish or dream, or whether its something I came up with because it sounds good.

Like whether or not I 'need' to have my own shop to sustain revival.

It really just depends if He breathes on it.

Lately I have had alot of wishes.

Smiles.

Things I thought were part of the process, but may just be 'lessons along the way' to show me what the differences are.

After all these years and I was wondering why my nation couldnt be shaken from my heart ....why my dreams for them seem to thrive;

even though the adversity has been more in the past decade than I could even describe.

But that dream HOLDS STRONG.

 My people are sustainable.

They can revive their nation.

My goal this season is to help them DREAM of a world where they have a place in it. A place of signifigance and not isolated from the rest of us.

I HOPE you will join me in creating something He will say: Well Done.

this was all birthed because of relistening to my Spiritual Father talk about Abraham.

 I started thinking about dreams.

of hope

and of wishes

and how I would know the differences...

and this is what I found was in me...as well as what God taught me as I pondered that subject.
