Nehemiah Chapter 4

1 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

4 Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:

5 And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

7 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

8 And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

9 Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

11 And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.

12 And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you.

13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

15 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

16 And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

17 They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every onewith one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

18 For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

QUOTE: FROM FRESH OIL:::

""""This night I would commission your hands. I would commission your hands to receive fresh orders. Orders of assignment, not so much in the natural, but to pull down the strongholds I will show you in the spirit. I say be not quick to move, but be quick to listen. Listen and stand. Stand and let your hands become My hands. As you lift them up and you bring one voice, you will come to understand that I am a proclaiming God. I do proclaim with your voice by My Spirit. Now lay your hands to claim, what I would have you claim for My glory," says the Lord your God."""

Zechariah 3

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Joshua, the High Priest

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and[a]Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel. He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and [b]will clothe you with festal robes.” Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the Lord was standing by.

And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you [c]free access among these who are standing here.

The Branch

Now listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who are sitting in front of you—indeed they are men who are a symbol, for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the[d]Branch. For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘and I willremove the iniquity of that land in one day. 10 ‘In that day,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘every one of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and under his fig tree.’”

Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?

memory- 2009
I do remember GOD.

I was away from the Lord all of 2008. When He took me to Himself once again, I asked that He restore my emotions, my mind and make me whole.

He gave me FRESH OIL:

4b“Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and [b]will clothe you with festal robes.” Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the Lord was standing by.

I did a prophetic act.

I went to my mother's cupboard where I was staying for a few weeks waiting for a place to live.

I found the olive oil.
I poured it upon my head.
He said it was to cleanse my mind of all that transpired that year as I ran from my calling.
He understood. He came after me. He cleansed me.
I was accepted.

WORD : brand plucked from the fire.

taken from my facebook page:

APRIL 16,2012

several people recently as well as times past have called me Brenda. Like it 'meant something'...so I finally had it looked up. It means ....
BRENDA: Sword
Torch
Unforgettable Brand

The name is of uncertain origin. It may be derived from a Scandinavian language, rather than a Celtic language like the similarly-spelt masculine given name Brendan. It is possible that Brenda may be derived in part from the Old Norse element brand, meaning "(flaming) sword".[1]

I am still learning much of how God sees me. But this was a confirmation to other words that have been given in times past.

when enough ppl over many yrs have called you a certain name not meaning to....it stands to say either you look like alot of  brenda's  they know... or God is speaking... just maybe...
and.... because there are no coincidences in the original language, I take this as a gift from HIM .

(end quote) (2nd picture was added from Daily Encouragement January 21,2013)

God is in the business of REDEEMING AND RESTORING that which is broken down.

In order for us to build outwardly, we must let Him build inwardly.

for me, it is a season of building  FROM THE INSIDE OUT. so I can do what He has called me to do.

It's TIME BUILDERS.

If we expect to have a generational effect and leave a legacy for those coming after us, then every move we make must be with PURPOSE.

WORDS TO PONDER:

'Sanballetmeans "hate in disguise." This hatred is concealed

TAKEN  from a study on Nehemiah Sanballet and Tobiah:

In the book of Nehemiah, the following types of trouble-makers are identified: 1. Those who hinder the work of God by doing nothing (3:5). 2. Those who openly violate the will of God (5:1-9; 8:17; 9:2-35; 13:1-3, 15). 3. Those who compromise with the enemies of truth (6:10-18; 13:4-7). 4. The enemies of truth themselves (2:10, 19; 4:7; 6:1, 16). While Sanballat and Tobiah are not the only adversaries Nehemiah had to contend with, they seem to have been the chief instigators. Sanballat is described as "the Horonite" (2:10, 19; 13:28). This likely has reference to the Moabite city of Horonaim (Isa. 15:5; Jer. 48:5, 34), which suggests that Sanballat, in all probability, was a Moabite. At the time he appears to have been the governor of Samaria (4:2). Tobiah was an Ammonite (2:10, 19; 4:3) and possibly Sanballat's servant. Both of these men were connected to the Israelites through unlawful marriages (6:18; 13:28).

THROUGH UNLAWFUL MARRIAGES:

I heard: came up through the back door

Not covenant makers

While what I give is always encouraging and edifying, God had drawn my attention today to what is going on around us as we work.

We are not to be blind to what is happening around us.

We find out what it is, then LISTEN AND STAND:::: WATCHING TO SEE WHAT HE WILL SAY TO ME.

A GOOD WATCHMAN MUST BE ABLE TO SEE  the enemy approaching.

Not to focus there, but to sound the alarm.

REMAIN at your WATCH POST WATCHMEN.

BECAUSE THE LORD WATCHES OVER THE WATCH OF THOSE THAT WATCH HIM
